This is the final poster. I got Sophie from our course to pose for us and this was the best picture and best outcome. We used the strapline: unite, arise, alight and we included the date, website and logo. In the poster Sophie is dancing to music coming out of the speakers which we created using light painting. The music notes and text was created using photoshop.
This is a screen shot of the Twitter and youtube pages we created. We used Jack Brough's logo and created a background using light painting. The background has various instruments and musical notes in a variaty of colours. Unfortuanlty there was a problem with the profile picture on the youtube page that day and we didnt spot it until after we printed out the page, but the picture does infact work.
This picture shows four shots of the facebook page created; the main page where people comment etc, the second is the twitter link which shows what is posted from twitter, the third is the picture gallery where all our light painting are and finally the fourth which is the poster for the competion.
The next four pictures are the final stickers which would be used. We decided to use a guitar outlined in bright yellow as if it was a light painting and the background as black so the text can stand out. We used four different colours for the font; Red, Yellow, Green and blue. We used the same font that we used on the poster and made Alight in a different font so it would stand out, that is also why we used a outer glow blending effect so that it looks like its glowing.
We also used a picture from City Hall as the background and moved it around so it had different sections and not just one part of the building. We also changed the font colour too to see what would look better, we decided having a background of the building didnt look very good and wouldnt suit a sticker so we cut the idea.
The next two pictures are what the sticker would look like in use so i put the sticker on a jumper and on the side of the hubs. The hubs picture isnt very good as it isnt a great picture and i wanted the builing to be from sheffield. Obviously the sticker wouldnt be that big on a wall but i needed it to be seeable.

We needed a logo for the campaign so i asked Jack Brough who's on our course but doing general graphics if we could use his brand and he agreed so we used them for all our pages and for the poster. Jack has created four different logos based on the colour spectrum, one for each event and one for the overal event.

These were our first designs on photoshop for the poster. We used people in the background of the picture to hold instruments but we felt it didnt look as effective and over done so we decided on using a someone we knew to pose for our poster. We also found that the guitar coloured in didnt look like a light painting so took that out and kept the outline.
This poster we decided to use for the facebook page, we thought about using a competition for the event where people would make their own light paintings to win tickets to the event.

I did some experiments with some new multicoloured torches that Laura and i bought and its alot harder than i looks getting the image right as alot of these failed. It would be alot easier with someone else helping out. But with some practice my attempts wont be as poor. The colour of the torches are: red, blue, green and Yellow.
